For two decades, single mother Ilona (41) and her daughter Alma (19) have fulfilled their roles perfectly: Ilona, caring, modest, and long accustomed to self-sacrifice; Alma, bold, curious, and convinced the world is hers to claim. Now that Alma is an adult, Ilona secretly enrolls at university to study philosophy — only to find her daughter in the same lecture hall on the very first day.
